"Aunt Emmas shop"

Stefanie Koos
"Staying at a friend’s home" – is how hotel owner Stefanie Koos describes the specific character of her hotel, which is now managed in third generation.  Stefanie Koos, born 11th of March 1968 in Paderborn, was trained to become a chef at the Parkhotel Bad Lippspringe after her school years.
One of the best decisions she ever made - she emphasizes – as it is extremely tedious to find a qualified chef.  Visiting a school of hotel management was already planned when all of a sudden her father died in 1988. He took over the corner shop established by her great grandfather in 1967.
Personal contact to the guest is the key factor for Stefanie. The guests’ personal needs and preferences regarding food or drinks and reading or allergies are accurately kept accounted of. The restaurant shows a Mediterranean ambience, a terrace and a beer garden are also available for the guests.  The kitchen adapts to the guests wishes. An individual menu changes every other day. For over ten years now, the local football team SC Paderborn 07 has been residing at the hotel and catered for with nutrition suitable for athletes.

Stefanie Koos saw herself forced to take over immediately – together with her mother who still participates actively despite her age. The neat house has 65 rooms equipped with modern technical devices.  Between 12 – 15 members of staff take care of the guests. Since 2005, husband Hans – Joachim (born 1963), former expert for marketing and engineering at Siemens, is part of the family business and took over the front office tasks. Stefanie Koos still has two folders full of ideas she wishes to implement step by step. Building a wellness and sauna area as well as 20 additional rooms are just two of them.
